Cecil the Lion was a regal ambassador of wildlife who connected people with the beauty of the animals we share our planet with. He educated so many on the importance of conserving our planet and protecting all who inhabit it.

It is with deep sorrow that we light this candle to honor Cecil's legacy.

President and CEO of Helen Woodward Animal Center, Mike Arms, states, "I can't describe the sadness I feel over the loss of this magnificent animal. When will we, the human race, become truly humane?"

We are grateful to the people who work to conserve endangered animals and habitats. Thank you for all you do to protect our animal friends.
